About TotaalFM
TotaalFM, a Dutch on-line radio station specialized in house, techno and trance is created by Rob van den Heuvel at the end of 2008. At that time, TotaalFM was nothing more as a station playing nonstop dance music of every kind from house to hardcore. Four or five deejays played a radio show kind of thing at that time.
Not long after the start, ArCee joined the TotaalFM deejays as a deejay at first, but not long after his participation he started talking with Rob and the 2 decided to join forces to make TotaalFM better. Rob had the know how, ArCee the contacts.
At the start of 2009 they wanted to make TotaalFM a platform for upcoming and talented Dutch deejays and after ArCee started to contact them, they found out very quickly that an international group of upcoming deejays were waiting for the same opportunity. So, the idea was changed and TotaalFM was available for every upcoming and talented deejay from every part of the world.
In the first months of 2009 a lot of deejays started to send in demoÕs for playing at TotaalFM. At times, the applications were coming in with almost to many at the time and ArCee was working overtime to listen to all demoÕs and rob had the same "problem" with making logins and scripts for the future radio shows. At first, the complete weekend was filled, Saturday with house music and Sunday with trance, but soon the week nights became filled as well.
At this time, Rob and ArCee were running TotaalFM together and TotaalFM became something of them both.
Because of the success, even better known deejays started to play attention to the station. People like Amex, Leon Bolier, Re-ward, Cliff Coenraad and Jonas Steur were one of the first deejay / producers that started a show at TotaalFM and after them many others followed soon.
By this time, all evenings were filled also, so daytime broadcasts were picking up as well.
At this very moment, more as 150 deejays, producers and even record labels have a radio show at TotaalFM. More as 25 different nationalities are joined at TotaalFM and it has been a true success story so far. Within less than 2 years, TotaalFM changed from the ugly duck to a beautiful swan.
Obviously, we are not gonna sit back and relax now. For us, the party is just beginning. More deejays and producers are still interested in a slot at TotaalFM, and we keep an eye at the future, trying to find those talented deejays that will rule the clubs and charts of tomorrow.
House, techno and trance is in the hearts of many people all over the world, and we are trying to give those people a home at TotaalFM. For deejays as well as for listeners.
